How To Write A Project or An Assignment Correctly Using Correct Methodology?

The way we approach is different yet the goal is either the same or may be it has a similarity. Usually, different projects and assignments are given to the students by their own respective teachers at every schools, colleges and universities. This is part and parcel of the academic studies to be accomplished.

Normally, at the higher level, teachers would not go detail to explain the methods of writing or presenting the projects and assignment but they would take for granted that the students should know and must know. It you happen to be the one among those who do not know how and where to start, just consider yourself luck today by reading this article since, I am going to teach and explain in detail the steps of writing an assignment. Make sure to follow the consistency of your writing skill.

So let’s get start. Remember that a project or assignment (this is use even for publishing a Book, the methodology is correctly use here) has the following points:

3. Introduction

4. Acknowledgements

         c) Sub-Points or other sub-headings
         d) Footnotes

7. Bibliography.

Let us discuss in detail of each and what does it means.

1. Cover Page or Page Cover:
A book has a cover to envelop the necessary pages and it is designed in such a way that is attracts the readers. It also summarizes the whole book in the form of a specific title. For a project or assignment too, a cover page is need to have, though simple it may be in its design but it looks organized as a final project. Besides these, it also protects the whole book or document from getting easily damage.

2. Table of Contents:
A table of contents is a set of organized headings and links of the specific heading and chapters of the given pages and categories. It can also be called as a navigation page where one could navigate the contents given in order with the help of the given page numbers.
3. Introduction:
Whenever you write a project or an assignment soon, after the table of contents comes the introduction. Here, you need to write the general idea of your work, the way you want to express or communicate to the readers.

Summarize in such a way that the readers would love to continue reading your assignment or work. You can also summarize each chapter in a way that it should link the reader’s mind to the main chapters or contents.

4. Acknowledgements:
Reference is one of the ways that you are getting enriched with the knowledge that you require to complete your task in the context of detail explanation. Even the professors, doctors and other famous writers do have their references when it comes to the completion of their books, articles, journals and other forms of writing.

In this section, you are supposed to acknowledge the source of your help in fulfilling your requirements. For example, the librarian of your school or college has helped you to provide the necessary and required materials need for your assignment then, you have to acknowledge that. May be you have a personal interview with any resource person that too it to be acknowledge.

In the last paragraph you should express a special greetings and assurance of God’s blessings. In short, an expression of a heartfelt gratitude and blessings is to be stated in form of writing.

5. Chapters:
Now, comes the main contents or the main body of the assignment, book or project etc. It is always started with the “Title of the Chapter” called “Chapters”. The chapter(s) represents the specific heading or title of specific details of explanation of the subject.

a) Main Headings:
The main heading(s) is also known as the first heading of the chapter.

b) Sub-Headings:
The sub-heading(s) is also known as the sub-points of the main chapter.

c) Sub-Points or other sub-headings:
Under the sub-heading(s) there may be cases where there are many sub-headings. If it is not then, it is not necessary to keep.

For the headings and sub-headings it is separated with the numbering. The correct way of numbering is used in order to differentiate between the heading and the sub-heading.

d) Footnotes:
What are the footnotes? It is the reference given to the main source of the content and lines extracted in your writings. It is use mostly when you quote exactly form book, articles or journals etc. Especially when you want to show proof or given stress to some extent by giving the exact saying of any person.

6. Conclusion:
Here comes the easiest and tricky part where you can mess up if you miscomprehend. A conclusion is usually written as a summary of what you have explained and derived the details in the above points. Meaning to say, it is a summary of your subject matter.

Moreover, you must admit if the task is incomplete, lacks of materials required or incur any unknown errors while writing. Besides your work, it is also advisable to refer the readers to read other sources related to the subject explained.

7. Bibliography:
This is the final step of writing a book, project or an assignment. In this section all the sources of your extracted work, references are to be included. The name of the Authors, name of the Books, Articles, Encyclopedias, Journals etc., year of publication and page numbers are to be included.
